Respiratory control ratios in muscular cushions from the celiac bifureation of pigeon aortas
were determined by manometric techniques. Comparisons were made between
atherosclerosis-susceptible White Carneau and atherosclerosis-resistant Show Raced
pigeons in day-old squabs and 3–6 mo-old birds. In White Carneau squabs, respiratory
