The metabolism of amyloid β peptide (Aβ) in the brain is crucial to the pathogenesis of
Alzheimer disease. A body of evidence suggests that Aβ is actively transported from brain
parenchyma to blood across the blood-brain barrier (BBB), although the precise mechanism
